Blog Fancy and the Adventures of O'Henry

Many times I just use titles I like the sound of with no real rhyme or reason, I'm sorry.

However, I did meet an interesting fellow, who I am now calling O'Henry. O'Henry stands about 1 1/2 feet tall and is kind of a loud character. It all started when Hazel woke around 3am last night. Finally around 4, I got her down and heard a rooster howling-cooing-crooing? very close to our window. I made a joke to Zach and thought nothing of it. Fast forward 5 + hours. My mother and I go to investigate and indeed there is a rooster in our yard. Perched on our fence- he jumped- I jumped (and shrieked) and the rest is history.

We spent the rest of the morning watching O'Henry make his rounds, visiting the neighbor's yards and picking at their grass.

In HOBOLAND

Some New Cuffs... my best friend Maureen had a bike pretty similar when we were kids. Nice.
Something a little cute and cuddly too:

New Cuffs in the shop today and all this week- along with Pregnant Tanks for the cute snuggle bunny mamas in your life! Plus some more exciting treasures to share!

Our American Apparel shirt order has arrived! We chose some springy-happy colors for the kidlets & babes. Among our favorite colors was the grass, I even snagged an AA scarf in this color. I hope we'll be able to start printing these on Saturday.

Today I felt well enough to send my hubbie out the door with an egg & mushroom sandwich. Sometimes I'm not up in time or my tummy trouble keeps me from helping out in the morning. I've been up since a little before 5, with a load washing- I'm looking forward to the 70 degree weather!

I was disappointed that even after a call to the office yesterday, I still never heard back from my gastro doctor. His office said he'd call with results from my test on Thursday- I'll have to call again and try to get some answers. But unfortunately I was in major hyperventilation mode last night waiting for his call. Of course your mind wanders.. and sometimes this isn't a good thing. Determined to not think the worse, I took a hot bath then snuggled with my honey and some raspberry sorbet.
I've planted some of these throughout the yard:

and I can't wait to harvest the carrots

and basil!

Hope you enjoy the weather and have a great day!

Bob and Weave

Everything has some sort of pattern, a rhythm or routine- but we just don't notice it. As I am starting to understand this little kidlet's patterns, caring for her is getting easier in ways. However last night she woke at 1am,3am,5am and 6isham. After trying to let her lie in her crib for a bit- I came to terms with neither of us getting another wink and we went to the living room.

Yesterday was a day of days- I got a good amount accomplished- one of those things was putting down an easy-to-clean, play-mat/rug for Hazel. So this morning she happily played in her rain forest gym ( on the rug) while I happily finished 7 coffee cuffs- it was kind of amazing. I put a new Celtic Lullaby cd in and we both focused..her chewing, sucking and drooling- me snipping, pinning and stitching.

(terrible grey, rainy day- with no light)
No real plans for the weekend except the transfer of more furniture/clothing/randomness from the old-the new. Hazel is 5 months tomorrow which I am still amazed by every day and every month she grows.

I had hoped to get some screen printing of our new wee Snuggle Bunny screen under my belt- but considering I haven't placed an order for the clothing pieces- maybe next weekend. There is a lawn that needs cutting- some plants to be transplanted. The outside work never seems to be done- but I really enjoy it. I am grateful that my parents let us do so much in their yard. Helps us get ready for our own yard someday.

Happy Weekend xo

I've Been...

I've been a busy elf filling the shop with holiday cheer- New Snuggle Bunny shirts, aprons and some other surprises to come.

I've also been keeping this a secret::::::

I've also been busy eating. Finding my new appetite for foods I haven't been able to eat since- Oh July. Brownies ( made from a Trader Joe's mix) which are delicious- pasta- milkshakes - but little steps. Speaking of milkshakes, remember this guy?
Well- thanks to the screenprinting peeps at
Supastarr and by popular demand- we'll have a limited amount of screenprinted gems for the holidays:::: so if you're a milkshake drinker and missed them the first time- we should have some shortly. They'll be listed in our Hobocamp shop, rather than their original spot in Zach's 24/7 Magnum store.

A little nesting to share::::::: Here is the mobile I made and Zach hung for me..

It came out a little Series of Unfortunate Events-gothic with the black lace & rickrack- but that is one of my favorite series and movies- so I'm happy with that! These little birds are highly addictive and I have been stitching up a few a day to add to holiday packages.

Well I had another adventure today and I'm also having some slight contractions- but I'll save it for another day.
I'm going to try to make Everyday Food's baked sweet potatoes with maple sour cream for dinner. Wish me luck-
xo
