potential

1 : existing in possibility : capable of development into actuality.

These days I am seeing so much potential. In Hazel and the new things she learns and does everyday. In relationships around me and in our possible new home. Since our bid was accepted, we've been very busy bees, getting all of our paperwork in order and signing contracts and the-like. Our de-winterizing and inspection is set for Friday, I am hoping all goes well.

This past weekend was filled with love, as we were lucky enough to have 2 weddings to attend. I was in one of them and the other we were just guests. Both were so different from one another and so special in their own unique way. So much has happened by way of fun ideas for weddings, since we got hitched almost 4 years ago (in June). It was lovely and refreshing to see the creativity put forth and feel the love in the room or under the tent!

Pictures to come!Still lightly scrapbooking and gently picking colors from Mythic and daydreaming about how to decorate our little, hopeful space.

What are you up to?

3 for the road

Here we are this morning- donning my mama-bed hair. Hazel and her baby in the sling. She thinks this is hysterical that there is room for both of them in here. Not that I can really get much done like this- a little hug for a few minutes is a enough. All but one or two stitches had dissolved, so yesterday at the plastic surgeon- he took the remaining out. It is never fun to have to hold your baby down while they cry and a doctor examines them. She fell asleep pretty much immediately after in the car seat. After a 20 minute nap- all I could think was thank heaven for small miracles. Speaking of small miracles....

My owners made a bid on a house and it was accepted!!! Yes folks, tomorrow we go up to sign our offer and to have my family inspect before the actual inspection on Monday. Fingers crossed that there is nothing too terrible lurking. The house was built in 1920 and has a few renovation projects needed. More to come!

Tuesday's Cute Patrol

So while I am not feeling so great, I've been watching episodes of Psych on the couch & listing items in my little hobo parade shop. But of course I've been searching Flickr, because, well I'm obsessed and I also get such inspiration from the crafties I've met there.

One of the great artists I bumped into is
Miss Avocado. She pretty much has some of the cutest, whimsical pieces ever. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is, but her pieces just speak to me.

I picked a few to share. A wedding topper, an adorable tote perfect for carrying your knitting or groceries, a little girl pillow- who not only has cute hair- but has a cat!! If that isn't enough this cute little illustration up top- even reminds me of who else? My love Harry Potter!!I know I'm obsessed! But for reals, there are so many unique and lovely items, like her own little world inside an avocado! So please check her
shop out, you'll be in uber! love xo

Nesting

Well thanks to friends & family our Saturday move was seamless. The truck was backed up to our little apartment and a heavy stream of carriers came in & out with the fury. The apt. was packed with boxes to the ceiling in no time! Pizza was enjoyed then Z and I spent the rest of the weekend trying to put everything in place and organize the rest. The internet/tv/phone hookup didn't happen till yesterday and our new couches & comfy chair were delivered Sunday. Poor Z has hardly had a chance to relax- he's been going to the old apt. after work finalizing and still emptying. I cleaned the fridge at the old place and Lord is it clean! I was amazed at just how spotless I got it!

Of course now TNT is having a Law & Order Criminal Intent marathon- just in time for my viewing pleasure. I need to put some orders together and start some custom orders. I bought more of the one- seam sundress fabric and now turned Suzanne onto it to!

I don't even have photos to upload, since I can't find the camera cord.Just know I've started setting up my studio nook and a trip to Ikea is def. in my future. My little fabric package arrived as did my little Hobo girl plaque. Very exciting.

The cats seem to love the new space. Jasper on our bed (as usual) and Hermione going from window to window and sleeping on my craft table.

It may be a little early (17 weeks) but I am still trying to will the baby to move with my mind. I just can't even imagine what it feels like to have someone in my belly moving. " Get in My Belly"- okay sorry.

Saturday we have a wedding to attend- I'm just so excited for it. We'll see my sister-in-law & her family whom we haven't seen since our December- Hawaii trip.

I'm torn between two dresses, both Liz Lange maternity.
Here is a pic of one of them- the other is a sleeveless, coral sundress. I'll bring them both and ask my mother-in-law/bride-to-be & others.

Back to the sewing table.xo
